Kvitucha Woman website

A studio with no digital presence

Kvitucha Woman is a Charlotte-based cosmetology studio offering a range of beauty services. The business was running entirely on word-of-mouth with no website, no consistent brand identity, and no way for potential clients to find or book services online.

The goal: design and build a complete brand and website that reflects the studio's warm, professional character and turns website visits into bookings.

Online presence before the project

No website, no brand guidelines, no booking flow. All new client discovery happened through personal referrals alone.

1,5 weeks

From brief to live site

Full brand identity, design system, copy direction, and coded production website — delivered in one week.

Warm, feminine, trustworthy

The brand needed to feel approachable and professional without leaning into generic "beauty" clichés. A warm cream and rose palette with clean serif typography set the tone — elevated but not cold.

Logo & Identity

A minimal wordmark built around a floral initial — distinctive without being decorative for its own sake. Translates cleanly across print and digital.

✓ Scalable identity system

Page Structure

Services listed with full description, a dedicated booking CTA above the fold on every scroll position, and a gallery section with real and a gallery of actual clients before and after that provides immediate proof of capability.

✓ CTA always reachable

Performance

Hand-coded HTML/CSS/JS with no frameworks. Images optimised and lazy-loaded. First contentful paint under 1.2s on mobile.

✓ 100% Mobile responcive

Built from scratch

No templates. No WordPress. Pure HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript — giving full control over every interaction, animation, and load behavior. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and maintained entirely in code.

Scroll-triggered animations, a mobile-first responsive grid, and custom hover interactions were all built by hand to match the Figma prototype exactly.

What I learned

  • Starting from zero is an opportunity — just a clean canvas to do things right from the beginning.
  • For small businesses, the booking CTA is the entire purpose of the website. Every design decision should serve that one goal.
  • Hand-coding without frameworks is slower upfront but gives surgical control over performance and animations that templates simply can't match.
  • Branding and web design delivered together creates far more cohesion than when they're done separately by different people.
  • Integrate a live booking system (Calendly or Square) directly in the page — reduce the gap between interest and appointment.
  • Add a testimonials carousel with real client reviews to build social proof above the fold.
  • Google Business Profile optimisation to support local SEO alongside the site.
